"Born in Modena (italy) in 1980. The body, with its attitudes and expressions, but also and above all with its physicality, is the starting point of its constant research, which shows the weaknesses of the soul through the finiteness of its envelope. Anatomies of pain, sectioned with meticulousness come directly from its cutlural substrate: the university studies of anatomical and surgical design carried out at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Bologna, have influenced his poetics to make them a distinctive feature of the his pictorial language. Simone Fazio's painting shouts the desperation of a generation in our face. How has covid19 affected you?

“I'm an Italian painter. I paint the world I ever see: full of contradictions, pleased with the drift it's taking, commanded by empty and useless personalities, in a desperate search for redemption and salvation, closed, repulsive and aggressive, where every value is subjected to the judgment of money. after 9/11 we promised to be better, but we haven't made this update. hope becomes a bitter poison in drops.“ - Simone
