Kim Tateo is an artist who paints her feelings into worlds of whimsy. A common theme for her work is interconnectedness—to each other as humans and to the Earth. Her work moves between releasing feelings into abstract expressions and creating magical worlds which are meant to be the unseen spaces where all hearts are connected. How has covid19 affected you?

“COVID-19 has affected me in a few ways. To start, I lost a couple of of my jobs as an educator, which was /is SUPER stressful because the money situation is REAL. But after awhile things settled down and I started diving into creative work including videos and a musical sing-along for kids. While I am bummed about not seeing my friends in person, I've actually seen more people and been in touch with people regularly via video chats and things. For as upsetting as things are, I am also trying to find the possibility and learnings from this dis-ease. Perhaps we'll move into a more creative system, one that's focused on the environment or supporting local artists. Who knows! .” - Kim Tateo
