About the Artist:

“Mae is a non-binary queer artist based in New York City. In addition to their studio practice, Mae works as a freelance photographer. Their experience with photography includes digital photography, 35 mm film, medium format film, Photoshop, Lightroom, and alternative printing methods. Recently, their work has attempted to work with photographic processes that engage practices of interdisciplinary community organizing. Their work deals with multilayered depictions of queerness and its enmeshment with capitalism, whiteness, (in)accessibility, and the dichotomy between the spectacle and the banal. ”

How has covid-19 affected you?

”I am no longer able to do any freelance work nor am I able to do my day job which is working for another artist as his studio supervisor.”
