Alyssa Lester is a multi-disciplinary artist in living in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She likes experimenting with warm colors and shapes. Her work discusses translating emotion into visceral form by borrowing from her "Vocabulary of Shape".

How has covid19 affected you?

“Covid has shut down my studio building, making it impossible for me to create in my studio. In addition, because our landlord and building sup both came down with the virus, our building began to go into a state of disrepair. After a recent leak, my studio was flooded in 6 inches of water. Many of my pieces were destroyed as well as my supplies.” - Alyssa
