About Jane Cowles:
From Jane's Website:
"Skilled in the details of complex corporate transactions, I have 15 years experience working with entrepreneurs and businesses to plan and grow for the future. Clients trust me because of the practical guided advice I provide. No deal is too small or complex for me to handle.
My niche area is art and design. I have represented numerous artists to settle copyright disputes, set up licensing agreements, and negotiate with art galleries. I serve on the board of the Arts Council of Rockland and Rockland Music Conservatory. I am a trained mediator and hold a masters in taxation.
I have worked for boutique law firms, Ernst & Young, McGladrey, and taught business law at the European School of Economics. My industry knowledge encompasses more than just the arts. I have planned mergers of large companies in the pharmaceutical and retail industries, defended companies in State Tax Audits, and planned tax saving strategies. I am known for my smart yet practical approach to planning.
I graduated cum laude from Pace Law School and magna cum laude from New York Law's LLM Taxation Program. In addition to my legal and business background, I have a BA in Fine Art from Drew University and have worked with art galleries, the Edward Hopper House, and Art & Antiques Magazine." - Jane Cowles
